How Decisions are Made

The College Hills church is an autonomous body.  No one, with the exception of God, governs our actions outside of this congregation.  We exist as a non-denominational congregation.

We believe this church belongs to Christ and not to us.  We seek to make decisions as we feel Christ would.  Of course we can and do make mistakes, but our goal is to do God's will.

We have men who serve as our elders.  The qualifications for these leaders are found in I Timothy 3 and Titus 1.  They make the critical decisions and offer spiritual guidance to the church as they seek to follow the teachings of God's word.

Deacons serve to oversee the work of the church and offer themselves as servants to those leading and working in our ministries.  Deacons are appointed by the congregation.  Their qualifications are also outlined in I Timothy 3 and Titus 1.

Our ministers serve to teach, equip, and motivate the church.  We have a full staff with each person skilled at offering focused attention according to their own specialized training.  Our ministry team works together with the elders, deacons, and members.
